Service Description

Death and dying are part of life, yet many of us avoid talking about them until we are faced with illness, loss or an urgent decision. Having these conversations earlier can help us understand what truly matters, communicate how we would like to be cared for, and give our loved ones greater clarity when difficult decisions need to be made. Join us at Art for Good for a safe and intimate community session about life, care, death and dying. Part 1: Cosy Conversations Amanda Chen-Lee, Art Therapist at Art for Good, and Elita Thia, Senior Financial Consultant with Great Eastern Financial Advisers, will lead a gentle and practical conversation about what a “good ending” may mean, why it is important to make our wishes known, and how planning ahead can support both ourselves and the people we love. Talking about death does not diminish life. It can help us live with greater intention, make more informed choices and care for one another with greater understanding. Part 2: Winds of Compassion Following the conversation, participants will decorate and assemble 100 pinwheels as a community art project—a collective expression of compassion in support of the Singapore Hospice Council’s Winds of Compassion initiative. The art-making offers a softer way to reflect on life, memories, care and what matters to us. Each individual pinwheel will become part of a larger community gesture supporting greater awareness of hospice and palliative care. Date: Saturday, 10 October 2026 Time: 2.00–4.00pm Venue: Art for Good Art Studio 55 Siglap Road, Siglap Centre #02-24 Singapore 455871 Pay As You Wish Your contribution will help Art for Good continue creating accessible community art projects that bring people together through creativity, reflection and meaningful conversations.
