For our third Staff VIA team bonding activity with Hougang Primary School, we had the pleasure of organising a Soft Pastel Nagomi Art workshop—this time conducted entirely over Zoom. In preparation, we carefully packed individual art kits, ready for staff to collect from the school before the session began.

Led by artist Zundeng, the workshop offered staff members a therapeutic and relaxing creative experience. Using soft pastels and gentle blending techniques, participants explored the calming process of Nagomi Art, where soft colours and simple shapes combine to create a sense of peace and mindfulness.

The outcome was not only beautiful but deeply meaningful. Collectively, the Hougang Primary team created 130 handmade cards, each one unique and heartfelt. These cards were then mailed directly to children from the Rare Disorders Society (Singapore) as New Year’s greetings. The joy was tangible—children were delighted to receive personalised letters addressed just to them, bringing warmth and connection to start the year on a positive note.

We are grateful to receive positive feedback messages from parents of the children from Rare Disorders Society of Singapore (RDSS).
