Behind the Lake captures the fleeting moment just before dusk, when the last embers of daylight dissolve into quiet waters. Muted olive greens and slate greys gather like an overcast sky, while a luminous band of burnt orange and amber glows along the horizon. The centre deepens into charcoal and plum, giving way to a striking expanse of cobalt and royal blue streaked with pale light — the restless surface of water catching the final rays of the day.

Jayden is a 15-year-old boy who is diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADHD is a neuro-development disorder which can cause an individual to face difficulties in practicing self-control, paying attention or sitting still. However, this does not hinder Jayden’s love for painting and mixing colours, which has enabled him to create many beautiful art pieces. In addition to creating art, his favourite pastimes include cooking, baking and playing with his brother.
