We are deeply grateful to Shell for inviting us to facilitate their Art Team Bonding Workshop on 17 June 2022—a day filled with creativity, reflection, and giving back to the community.
The workshop unfolded in two parts. In the first session, Art for Self-Care, participants personalised beer glasses using the delicate art of glass etching. As they worked, we encouraged them to reflect on the classic question: Is your glass half full or half empty? The answer we shared was a joyful reminder—your glass is always full (50% air + 50% water). This activity became more than just decoration; it was an exercise in positive thinking, creative exploration, and perseverance.
The second session brought an element of playfulness and purpose. Together, the team crafted 50 cheerful minion pencil toppers, each destined to bring a smile to a child from a low-income family at Brighton. Every topper represented not just skill and effort, but also the warmth and generosity of the Shell team.
By the end of the day, the tables were lined with etched glasses and rows of bright yellow minions—tangible symbols of a workshop that blended self-care, teamwork, and community spirit into one meaningful experience.
