Creating with Purpose: Art for Good at Lazada For Good Day 2026

On 30 April 2026, Art for Good had the meaningful opportunity to be part of Lazada For Good Day — a day centred on giving back and making a positive impact in the community.

As part of the event, we were engaged to conduct a hands-on creative workshop where participants came together to build wooden gliders. Over the course of the session, a total of 13 gliders were carefully crafted, each one uniquely assembled and decorated.

While simple in form, these gliders carried a deeper purpose. Each piece created during the workshop was intended to be gifted to children from low-income families — transforming the act of making into an act of giving. Participants were encouraged to slow down, work with intention, and reflect on the joy their creations would bring to someone else.

The workshop also highlighted the power of art as a connector. In a shared space, individuals from different backgrounds engaged in a collective experience — creating not just objects, but moments of empathy, generosity, and community spirit.

At Art for Good, we believe that art can be a powerful tool for social impact. Initiatives like this remind us that even small, hands-on activities can create ripples of kindness and meaningful connection.

We are grateful to have been part of Lazada For Good Day and to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and creativity. Together, we created something simple, thoughtful, and impactful — one glider at a time.
